Which towns does Junk My Car Inc buy junk cars in?
We buy junk cars in Chicago and across its west, southwest and south suburbs, from Oak Park and Hinsdale to Plainfield, Orland Park, Calumet City and University Park. In Indiana we go as far as Gary and the towns touching it. Every pickup comes with a free tow and payment when the car is loaded.

Indiana papers and the line at Gary
Across the state line we also buy in Hammond, Whiting, East Chicago, Highland and Griffith, and in the towns touching Gary: Merrillville, Lake Station and New Chicago, as well as Munster, Gary and Hobart. Indiana's paperwork rules are stricter than Illinois'. A recycler needs the title or a BMV certificate of authority for every car, and a car under 15 model years old can't be bought with neither. Places we don't serve
We don't go past Gary: not Dyer, Schererville, Crown Point, St. John, Cedar Lake, Lowell, Portage or Valparaiso, and nothing in Porter or LaPorte County or in Michigan. Old links to a Dyer page land here for that reason.
Questions about our area
Do you buy junk cars inside the city of Chicago?
Yes. Any community area is fine. The Chicago page covers the city's dead-car, alley and winter parking rules; put the street address in the form and we'll confirm the pickup when we call.
My town isn't on the list. Can you still come?
Ask. The town pages are the places we know best, but we buy across Chicago and the Cook, DuPage and Will County suburbs. The one firm limit is in Indiana, where we stop at Gary.
Will you collect in Crown Point, Valparaiso or Michigan City?
No. In Indiana we don't go past Gary and the towns touching it, so Dyer, Schererville, Crown Point and everything in Porter and LaPorte counties is outside our area.
